SAP Inside Track Warsaw is a local, community-driven event that brings together SAP professionals – consultants, developers, architects, and testers – for a full day of learning, networking, and exchanging real-life project experiences.

An introduction to what SAP Basis (subjective) is, featuring practical and fun examples from my SAP experience, around 20 years with overtime, might be 40. I’ll share my personal view on SAP’s strategy, present examples of how I gain knowledge and how it’s changed over the last 20 years. And yes, we’ll have some discussion about whether SAP Basis will die out.

You’ll hear a personal account of building SAP solution add-ons over the years: from a Design Studio visualisation plugin, to a Fiori-style analytics app on HANA Express, to a SaaS spreadsheet uploader on SAP BTP. This isn’t a deep dive into code, but a candid reflection on design choices, lessons learned, and the role of curiosity, community, and perseverance in shaping innovation.
