Background
Velocitor Solutions is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. The company offers enterprise-grade fleet management solutions. Its logistics and delivery management platform helps companies optimise route planning, delivery operations, and last-mile logistics. Moreover, the V-Track mobile app enables delivery drivers to access real-time route assignments, manage deliveries, and report completion data back to headquarters.
However, Velocitor’s enterprise customers required a direct integration pathway between V-Track and the underlying SAP infrastructure. In August 2025, Velocitor approached AvoTechs seeking assistance with navigating the SAP certification process.
We brainstormed their business and decided on the best path forward. To build an integration on SAP CPI which is deployable on their customers’ tenants and put it through SAP ICC certification.
Challenge
Velocitor needed V-Track data to flow bidirectionally in real-time without disrupting existing customer operations. Velo’s team had already integrated directly with SAP systems multiple times and understood the technical side of integration. The primary challenge was navigating SAP’s certification requirements and preparing the solution for approval.
The team needed a partner who could manage the complexity of the certification process while ensuring the integration aligned with SAP standards.
Solution
We conducted a business requirements workshop with Velocitor’s product and engineering teams to understand what data flows V-Track generates, which SAP modules are critical to their customers, and the standard operational flow Velocitor supports for all its logistics customers.
We configured the solution to work with SAP LMD and Transportation Management to reproduce the golden process that Velocitor supports its clients with. We then conducted live demonstrations and simulated the full functional flow, showing how drivers receive route assignments, execute deliveries through V-Track, and send delivery data back into SAP in real time.
Based on this high-level design, we started crafting the architecture and mapping out the interfaces.
We architected and developed the CPI integration flow package, mapping:
- Inbound flow: Route assignments from SAP TM → V-Track mobile app (drivers see their assigned routes in real-time)
- Outbound flow: Route settlement data from V-Track → SAP LMD and SAP TM (real-time delivery confirmations, actual vs. planned timing, exception handling)
The integration package was built and prepared for testing within a few weeks. Once testing was completed, the solution was ready for the SAP certification demo.
AvoTechs further supported Velocitor throughout the certification application process by guiding the team through SAP requirements and creating all required technical and compliance documentation.
Our team managed the majority of the certification workload, including integration package documentation, SAP communication, and compliance alignment, while Velocitor provided business context and final approval on deliverables.
The SAP certification demo was successful, all requirements were met, and the solution was successfully certified by SAP.
